This summer a great new music festival is heading to Tamworth - the Statfold Barn Festival.

Musicians, comedians, entertainers are here for a fun filled weekend of camping, excitement, great food and top acts.

Small Business Promotion

Tamworth has some fantastic small businesses and we should be shouting about it! In the lead up to Small Business Saturday in December, the teams are looking to give some small businesses up and down the country a bit of promotion and some will be invited to Downing Street.

 

Promoting the Disabled Persons Rail Card

Christopher Pincher MP has today joined forces with the rail industry to encourage more disabled people in Tamworth to travel by train using the Disabled Persons Railcard, which offers a third off journeys.

Guide Dogs Campaign - Access All Areas

Christopher Pincher MP has supported a campaign to tackle discrimination against guide dog owners at an event in Parliament organised by the charity Guide Dogs.

Chris signs Youth Friendly Charter

On the 17th of June I had the pleasure of attending a drop-in session hosted by the APPG for Youth Employment where I signed the Youth Friendly MP Charter.

Signing the Charter pledges my support to five key principles of youth employment in Tamworth.

Increasing animal cruelty sentences

Today I was delighted to see the Government announcement that the maximum sentence for animal cruelty will be rising to 5 years of imprisonment.  I know this is an issue that many of you have written to me about and so I include a copy of the Minister's letter below.
