Lichfield Trent Valley Train Station

While the majority of my constituents live in Tamworth, many (like myself in Shenstone) live closer to Lichfield's town centre and so their nearest trains station is in Lichfield.

Child Tax Credits for people who adopt

From today the Government has extended support in Child Tax Credits for parents who adopt children from local authority care or care for them under a non-parental caring arrangement.

Letter to Santa

I've got a letter from Santa Claus asking to hear from all the girls and boys in and around Tamworth asking what they would like for Christmas. But be quick! In order to guarantee a response from him letters must be sent by 7th December to Santa's Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ.

Sports Shooting

A number of residents wrote to me earlier in the year raising concerns about the future of rifle shooting as a sport.  I am writing to provide you with a brief update on the situation.

New Roads Funding

I was pleased to see the new funding for Staffordshire County Council which will see more money than any other county in the West Midlands used for the repair and maintenance of roads.  

Chris Overwhelmed by Christmas Card Response

Wow what a response! Thank you to all the primary schools around Tamworth that have taken part in my Christmas card competition this year. I've received over 150 entries from pupils and can't wait to go through them all and select the best design.

Today I took part in a roundtable with a number of other MPs and the National Farmers Union (NFU). 

Tree Felling Licenses Now Online

The Forestry Commission has launched a new feature to allow anybody wishing to apply for a tree felling license to make use of its new Felling License Online service.

The service allows you to apply, track, manage and print licenses.  A major step forward for the Forestry Commission.
