Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship

For those who like to travel, applications are now open for the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship.  The funding provides a life-changing opportunity to learn, travel abroad and explore a topic of your choice.  If you think you can make change happen - this is the fellowship for you.

The fund was set up as a national memorial to Sir Winston Churchill in 1965 and it now awards 150 separate travel award research grants each year.  The Trust aims to invest in outstanding individuals and help them gather global knowledge for the benefit of the United Kingdom.

Any United Kingdom resident can apply for the fellowship.  It does not matter the qualification, age or background.  You do not have to be in school or just leaving - if you have an idea, go for it!

This is the chance of a lifetime to not only enhance communities but to provide you with support which is not reliant upon your own financial status, background or professional standing.

Awards allow residents to spend between 4-8 weeks overseas researching best practice and exploring innovative ideas in topics and countries which they choose. When you return, you can use those findings to help make a difference to how we do things here in the United Kingdom.

Applications are open until September, so there's plenty of time to pull together your ideas.  For full details on how to apply and whether past winners have done visit www.wcmt.org.uk
