A number of people have recently contacted me about the propose Mile Oak development within the Lichfield Local Plan. I have written directly to the Chief Executive of behalf of residents and I enclose a copy of my letter for your reference. I have tried to include as many of the concerns raised as I can within my letter.
I would encourage residents living in the Mile Oak area if they have not done so already to make sure that they are aware of your concerns. I know they too are sharing this information with the Development Team. Their contact details are:
Councillor Barry Gwilt Email: Barry.Gwilt@lichfielddc.gov.uk
Councillor James Parton- Hughes Email: James.Parton-Hughes@lichfielddc.gov.uk
Fazeley Town Council, particularly Council Leader Alex Farrell, has also raised a number of concerns about the proposals and Tamworth Borough Council has put forward their reservations on how the development may affect local services in Tamworth, so your local representatives are aware and actively making their voices heard.
Lichfield District Council will be reviewing all of the submissions on the Local Plan before making any final decisions, so if you know of friends and neighbours who may also have questions, ideas or concerns about the project, please encourage them to provide their feedback to Lichfield District
Council by emailing email@example.com or by writing to Spatial Policy and Delivery,
District Council House, Frog Lane, Lichfield WS13 6YZ.
I have attached my letter to the Chief Executive below so you know which issues I have raised. I am not against further building in Fazeley and Lichfield but we do need to ensure that any building is right for the community. On the face of the information provided so far, the Mile Oak proposals would not be beneficial to the local community. I will keep monitoring this issue and raising concerns from residents.
