Not sure who nailed the pose better, the Prime Minister or me…
The annual community festival of fun and promotion of eco causes is returns each year. The current climate crisis and worldwide pandemic highlights the importance of looking after our world and each other.
For the young and young-at-heart they run a lot of games and activities, for those older, shopping, presentations and even music and performance.
It is a great way to highlight local issues I know many more are finding they want an electric car for instance, while you can get grant help to fund an EV charger in an off-road parking space, like your driveway or garage (most utility providers can also help!), we have not yet come up with a solution for those who park on the road but are looking at ways to install overnight chargers to street lights.
Still, companies like Instavolt, Osprey and others will let venues with parking spaces install an EV Charger. It can be a great little earner for the venue (and boost footfall) while helping local people charge their vehicles easily. Worth a look into if you're a pub, gym, cafe or community venue - free too! So if you were thinking of going electric, hopefully that info will help to clarify things a little more.
Thanks to all the volunteers at Streetly Eco festival and the Methodist Church, as ever a brilliant event to visit!
