supporting the solstice samartians campaign - dont feel alone this winter

Wednesday 21 December is the longest night of the year, the sun will be setting for the Winter Solstice shortly after 4pm.

We're using the date to remind anybody in need that the Samaritans will be there for them, including on Christmas Day and over New Year. Their support lines are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and even have some trusted volunteers from right here in Tamworth and Lichfield.

Tamworth Castle will be lighting up green that evening, and residents are encouraged to light up a window, with a sign to remind everyone that the Samaritans are FREE to call any time day or night on 116 123.

The call can be made from mobile phones without credit and won't even show up on your phone bills. So don't feel alone, make a call.

Anybody can pop along! It's a free event.

Support Our NHS

Demand for the NHS only continues to rise, and as the population ages, there are a growing number of widespread chronic conditions which will be increasingly expensive and challenging to address, without a credible and effective plan to fund the NHS and social care.
