Today is Orange Wednesday so it is fantastic to be support St Giles Hospice's fundraising campaign along with Michael Fabricant MP.
Orange Wednesday is part of raising awareness and funds for the vital care services that St Giles Hospice provides for those living with terminal illnesses across Tamworth and Lichfield. People have been walking, dressing up, bathing in beans, baking, raffling and cycling all for a good cause.
St Giles Hospice not only offers comfort and a bed in a safe place for people wishing to stay providing excellent personalised in-patient care for people in the final stages of their illness but they also offer day therapies of all kinds from medical and physio to spiritual and recreational.
The hospice also offers bereavement services and cancer support. The team also goes out into the community to provide some services. St Giles Hospice is a real hidden treasure and I was very happy to offer my support.
If you want to get involved with fundraising, volunteering or think you could make use of their services visit www.stgileshospice.com for more information.
