If you have not done so already, try the new NHS App. Simply search for the app on your store, the NHS are trying to get as many people signed up and making use of their services as possible.
The aim is to roll out more digital services but already you can book appointments, arrange repeat prescriptions, seek medical consultations, sign up for organ donation and check your medical records using the app.
It's free to use and the NHS is working on getting every GP surgery linked up to the system. While the original sign up can be a little tricky, as your identity needs to be confirmed, once you are in, the app can be very helpful - particularly for those on the go who don't have the time to wait on a phone line to book an appointment or seek a prescription.
We hope to get the NHS in the pocket of everybody in England, a step towards making the NHS a 7 day service and empowering people to take control of their own health care.
