Staffordshire County Council and the local NHS CCGs are working to improve the ways that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are being supported in our area.
The view is taking a holistic approach, looking at health and social care, education and how better to support the wider family unit.
To date professionals have had their say, feeding back information and a new draft SEND strategy has been produced.
You can read the draft document online at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/SENDStrategy
Staffordshire County Council want your say, they want to hear from the local public, families affected and those working with young people. While the County Council has sought to interact with those already known to their services, I know many are just starting their journeys or getting to grips with SEND support.
So take a look at the draft and give your feedback - let's do all we can to help our young people reach their goals with the right support in place.
