festive window competition

Businesses across Tamworth - we want you!

We want you to get festive and spread some Christmas cheer.  Christmas may be a little different this year, particularly Christmas shopping. The Tamworth Arts and Events team want to see the town looking as shiny and festive as possible which is why they have teamed up with Tamworth Borough Council to launch a competition.

The Best Festive Window

Businesses can sign up using the link below:

Displays should be up and running by December 4 when members of the public will start being asked to vote for their favourites.  Judges include the Mayor of Tamworth, The Tamworth Herald and Radio Tamworth DJs.  The judges will be checking out the windows face to...window to help decide the favourite.

It is a great way to lure shoppers back into the town and spread some festive fun.  A number of town centre businesses have already signed up to show off their, lights, their sparkle and their safe space for Christmas shopping.

The competition ties in with the launch of free parking at the Council-run car parks and Ankerside Shopping Centre on Saturday December 5th and Saturday 19 December.  Those days will also see the 'We Are Angels' project, street art, angel wings and plenty of selfies in the town centre.

While there will be no big Christmas light switch-on event this year, here will be a visual and immersive light installation with St Editha's and the Town Hall being illuminated with animated images as well as other projections along George and Market Street.

So get involved, spread some fun, shop locally and be in with a chance of winning!
