Tonight my Constituency Office manager won the Staffer of the Year award for Central England 2023. This is an annual award event held by The House Magazine to recognise the hard work, dedication and excellence of parliamentary staff, who so often work behind the scenes.
The judges included a cross-party panel of MP's who selected Katie Plant for the award. Ms Plant works in the Tamworth Office and in her spare time is a befriender with Tamworth CIC and Brownie Leader with the Stonydelph Brownies.
I am absolutely delighted to see Katie get recognised, she has worked so hard to help many constituents in the local area and in her spare time does so much for the community. The award is an absolute testament to her hard work in what has been an extremely challenging time.
A very big well done to all those who won and were shortlisted, every staff member working for an MP or Lord is an unsung hero, supporting a thriving democracy, dealing with the issues facing the nation from national policy to litter on the park. Fantastic work from dedicated, inspirational teams who want to change Britain for the better.
Well done Katie!
