The Social Mobility Foundation is once again running the Aspiring Professionals Programme (APP) for high achieving, motivated and ambitious college and sixth form students in our area.
There are four pillars to the programme which offer support to students through professional mentoring, tailored skills sessions and workshops, university application guidance and internships with employers. I had a few in my offices last year who took one a wide variety of tasks.
So if you're interested in a career in politics, law, accountancy, architecture, banking, sciences, business, engineering, media, medicine or digital technologies, give the scheme a look in.
It is a great foot in the door, often for people who never thought it would be possible for them to step into the career of their dreams. The Social Mobility Foundation does a great job at bringing together hard working students with their chosen careers.
