Two Tamworth site managers at the Dunstall Park, Ian Crockford and Craig Igson, have been awarded Seal of Excellence awards for their dedication to outstanding quality at the new housing site. These are highly coveted awards that are part of the Nation House-Building Council’s (NHBC) Pride in the Jobs awards.
Known as ‘the Oscars of housebuilding’, the NHBC Pride in the Job awards recognise the very best site managers building high quality new homes across the country.
In its 40th year, over 11,000 site managers from housebuilders of all sizes are entered automatically into the competition. Between them, these site managers are responsible for over 160,000 new homes, which is around 80% of all new homes built in the United Kingdom each year.
Housebuilding is a team effort, but it is the expertise, leadership and attention to detail of the site manager that has the greatest influence on the quality of the end product.
Commenting, Christopher Pincher MP said:
“I am thrilled to learn that after my visit to the Dunstall Park site in Tamworth over summer, that Ian and Craig have been awarded the Seal of Excellence. From speaking to so many people across the site, from foremen to apprentices and the sales team, it is clear that with so many of them coming from our local area they want to get on and ensure more people can live and buy in Tamworth.
“The Dunstall Park site is supporting hundreds of Tamworth jobs, and for the craftmanship and workmanship to be recognised at the 40th Pride of Job awards goes to show the great housing opportunities coming into our town. Well done both.”
