Last week I was pleased to be invited to the annual Cathedral to Castle Run.
Though I didn't have the fitness or energy levels to try the 10 mile run myself, the event raises money for charity with tonnes of residents dashing along an adventurous route from Lichfield Cathedral to Tamworth Castle.
It's hugely popular and runners take to all kinds of terrain along the way. From muddy athletes to residents in fancy dress it is a really fun day.
I had the opportunity to meet with the Mayor and the race winners and was pleased to see that everybody who completed the event received a t-shirt and medal to celebrate their achievement.
There's even a 1-mile junior run for our aspiring young athletes.
All the funds raised go to local charities ranging from the talking newspaper and St Giles Hospice to the police cadets
The next event takes place in April 2019. To sign up or get involved visit www.c2crun.co.uk
