Calling teenage readers

The Summer Reading Challenge starts on 13th July. This year Staffordshire Libraries are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Summer Reading Challenge with an exciting space theme, to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing, which is sure to be lots of fun for everyone

Libraries across Staffordshire are looking for teens to volunteer as a 'Library Reading Hack' .  This will offer you opportunities to run children’s activities, organise events, and help develop reading with young children.

It is an ideal experience for anybody looking to get experience to add to your CV and talk about in interviews, to meet new people and support your local library and community.
Your volunteering hours can contribute to Duke of Edinburgh, Arts Award and other accreditations so it can be a great way to help young people develop a love for reading while boosting your skills.

For more information or to sign up contact Your Library via the County Council Contact Centre on 0300 111 8000 or pop in to your local library and have a chat with the team.

And for anybody with a youngster who would enjoy the sessions, here's the latest one below.  Get signed u and blast off!
