Backing our pubs

Pubs and breweries are a vital part of our town centres and villages.  From multinational brewers to microbreweries like the Tamworth Tap, the drinks industry employs hundreds of people across my constituencies and thousands more all over the United Kingdom.

The local pub is often a key place for residents to socialise, hold events and support good causes.  We have some fantastic pubs in the area and I will work hard to promote them.

I am supportive of freezes and reductions in beer duty, community ownership in rural areas and ensuring that pubs, despite being larger buildings, can still operate with affordable business rates in our high streets.
